Warwick Acoustics Bravura features the High-Precision Electrostatic Laminate (HPEL) audio transducer developed by Warwick Acoustics Ltd. With 3 years of HPEL development, to upgrade the core patented technology and further improve upon all the benefits of electrostatics. The latest evolution of the single-ended HPEL uses a new stator design with a laminated film that is just 15 microns thick for low distortion and increased SPL with a wide bandwidth. The film is affixed to a cell structure and machine-tensioned with extreme accuracy to create small, sound-producing drumskins. The software finetunes each drumskin for optimal resonant frequencies. To ensure the exceptionally lightweight transducer performance, the panel is encased in a super-rigid polycarbonate 'cassette'. Each HPEL is handmade and individually matched for a high-quality music audio reproduction.

Warwick Acoustics Bravura hosts injected magnesium ear-cups that offer excellent strength-to-weight ratio, high stiffness, superior acoustical damping and outstanding RFI/EMI shielding while housing the HPEL to ensure optimal performance. This lightweight material offers extra comfort and reduces user fatigue. It embeds handmade Cabretta hair sheep leather ear-pads that are soft, lightweight and durable. The headband is hand-stitched for an exquisite look and comfort. 

Ultra Low-Capacitance Cable For Remarkable Signal Transmission

Warwick Acoustics Bravura comes bundled with a patented ultra-low capacitance cable with 50 pF/m for optimal signal transfer between the amplifier and headphones. It is manufactured with fine strands of silver-plated, oxygen-free high-conductivity and ultra-pure copper in collaboration with ATLAS and LEMO. It features Kevlar between the inner cores and uses high-precision self-latching LEMO connectors.  The insulation is a foamed polyethene chosen for its high dielectric constant. There is no shared ground between the left and right channel signal cables, and a fibre filler material in the jacket keeps the conductors. It houses high-quality woven Moplen outer braiding with a soft feel and ultra-wear resistance for a seamless user experience. The connector is electrically isolated from the amplifier chassis and the self-latching connectors ensure a secure connection.

Extremely Low Distortion Audio With Discrete FET Class-A Energising Amplifier

Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1 features a discrete FET Class-A energising amplifier that provides audio with low distortion and wide bandwidth while matching the HPEL. It is specifically designed to drive the inherent capacitive load of an electrostatic transducer and operates at a high bias level to improve linearity. It is enclosed within a machined and shielded with aluminium to ensure excellent isolation from any interference to deliver a highly clean output.

Custom 64-bit Double-Precision Fixed-Point For Hi-Fi Audio

Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1 processes digital audio signals through a custom 64-bit double-precision fixed-point arithmetic within the multi-core XMOS processor. The Fixed-point is known as superior in the world of audio processing and our 64-bit arithmetic exceeds the performance of professional audio setups. It equips fully digital interpolated volume control in the amplifier that eliminates clicks, pops and other noise issues and ensures lossless audio. It enables Sonoma M1 to provide audio with high-quality audio.

Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1 is equipped with an AKM premium analogue to digital converter, a multi-channel 32-bit/384 kHz ADC as all the incoming analogue signals must be converted to digital before it reaches the DSP. This allows the device to provide a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 120 dB for an uncompromising music listening experience.  

Custom Voltage Switch-Mode Power Supply For Unbelievable Performance

Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1 features a custom-designed, universal voltage switch-mode power supply that utilises a fixed frequency design optimised for low noise within the audio bandwidth. It utilises high-performance, locking DC power connectors for an enhanced connection with the amplifier unit. Every audio circuitry within the amplifier is supplied by a secondary stage of ultra-low noise and high current linear regulation. 

CNC-Machined Aluminium Case With Heat Dissipation

Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1 is meticulously designed with a CNC-machined solid billet of high-purity Aluminium 6063, crafting the whole case. A special 3D-wave pattern is cut into the base and top plate for heat dissipation. The machined parts are blasted under high pressure with fine glass beads before being clear-anodised for an exquisite look. The logos and labels are laser-etched into the metal so they will not fade or rub off.

Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1 comes with a silver-plated USB straight cable to connect your music source device to the Sonoma M1 system. It features USB, coaxial S/PDIF digital and RCA analogue inputs. The USB input accepts all Hi-Res Audio formats up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD via DoP (DSD64 and DSD128), while the S/PDIF input accepts all PCM formats up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
