Dual AK4493SEQ AKM DAC Chips

FiiO, to take the performance levels of the K7 to new heights, has included dual DAC chips from AKM technologies AK4493SEQ. The AK4493SEQ is a stereo premium 32-bit DAC with VELVET SOUND™ technology, achieving industry-leading low-level distortion characteristics and a wide dynamic range. The K7 with AK4493SEQ under its belly supports sampling rates PCM 384kHz-32bit/DSD256 (USB DAC), PCM 192kHz-24bit (COAX), and PCM 96KHz-24bit (OPT) ideal for a high-resolution audio source playback.

THX Amplification Technology

FiiO, for its amplification circuit, decided to use the same THX AAA 788+ amplifier technology as the K9 Pro. The FiiO K7 has an output power of 560mW in a 300-ohm load and 2000mW at 32-ohms. This design ensures both low and high-impedance headphones are powered sufficiently.

Two-Level Gain Settings

K7 has two gain-level settings to have a suitable listening volume. The high and low hardware gain levels allow you to easily adjust the K7 to handle headphones of various impedances and sensitivities for a rich and consistent listening experience. Thanks to ADC curve reconstruction, experience a smooth 112 steps of adjustable volume free of channel imbalances and noise - ensuring that every note reproduced is natural and precise.

Exceptional Power Supply Design

The K7's power design consists of numerous stages, with low-noise LDOs (Low dropout regulators) controlling each stage's voltage. Feeding this power design is an external 12V switching power supply. Overall, the K7's power design provides clean power for an exceptional listening experience. The K7 has a six-stage audio circuit with truly balanced analogue and digital sections – which helps to reduce crosstalk and reproduce music as the artists intended. 

Numerous Inputs & Outputs 

FiiO has designed the K7 with numerous input/output capabilities. It contains USB, optical, coaxial, and RCA as inputs and 6.35mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced as outputs. You can easily switch between three different "outputs" with just one click. One touch of a handy key allows you to switch between 3 output modes (for use with headphones, with speakers, or use as a DAC). One key controls switching between the "4" different inputs, with a flowing light effect to indicate when the input has "switched" and is ready.

All-Aluminium Alloy Construction

The K7 features an all-aluminium alloy construction, carefully finished with CNC and other processes. Its elegant black colour is exquisitely complimented by the gold accents of the THX and Hi-Res Audio badges, and it has a "truly" opulent appearance. The K7 features a minimalistic design that only measures 55mm thick and with a footprint of less than 1/3 of an A4-sized sheet of paper – allowing it to fit perfectly on modern desks.
